Supporting local charities
When you try out our virtual world on the Offshore Europe stand, you are also supporting causes close to our heart.
When people take part in the VR demo, they will place a business card in one of three boxes to vote for one of three chosen charities to receive a donation from Wood Group:
Vine Trust is an international development charity which enables volunteers to provide medical, home-building and care support to communities living in severe poverty in Tanzania and Peru. The organisation aims to empower communities; connecting enthusiastic volunteers with in-country partners and local people to create significant, sustainable development for vulnerable children and families.
The ARCHIE Foundation is the official charity of the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital, making the difference for local children, and their families, when they are in hospital or in need of long-term healthcare. They provide extras, over and above the excellent service provided by the NHS, to help make the care world-class.
Since 2014, The Girls Academy program has helped thousands of at-risk Aboriginal Australian girls overcome some of the common barriers which keep them from attending school, including; poverty, teen pregnancy, drugs, alcoholism, violence, abuse, and a disconnectedness with their culture and community.
