Operations Excellence Framework (OEF)
At the heart of our approach to operations and maintenance is our Operations Excellence Framework (OEF).
OEF is a suite of systems, tools, processes and procedures designed to cover all the activities involved in operating and maintaining oil, gas and petrochemical facilities. OEF sets expectations (standards) for best-in-class operational delivery that all our operated assets must comply with.

OEF is underpinned by effective leadership and world class business excellence programmes including the USA’s Malcolm Baldridge Quality Management System, the European Foundation for Quality Management, and British Standard PAS 55, Optimal Management of Physical Assets.
In the pre-operations phase, we ensure that every project start-up reaches maximum production as efficiently and safely as possible. We create value to the customers' assets through efficient management and an integrated network of technical expertise. We are experienced in setting up new offices and mobilising experienced operations and project personnel to a wide range of international locations.

Facility operation and maintenance
Wood Group can assume full operational responsibility for the operation and maintenance of oil and gas production (and other energy related) facilities. We manage operations using a plan designed to achieve a defined set of goals. We attain producing, maintenance and regulatory compliance goals while maintaining cost control objectives, through our unrivalled personnel resources, technical and logistical support and management commitment. We tailor all our services to meet our customers’ specific needs.
For the transport you need, when you need it
Wood Group has an established transportation system that covers a large portion of the offshore environment and is available to support your logistical needs on an ad-hoc or term contract basis in the Gulf of Mexico. Our helicopters and boats are strategically located at both offshore hubs and onshore bases, and are dispatched through a central transportation coordinator located in our Houston office. TransNet is our comprehensive network of boats and helicopters.
Participation in TransNet gives each customer access to the whole network of air and marine vessels and enables Wood Group to tailor a transportation system to suit each client's individual set of circumstances. The combination of networking and sharing also provides participants with an increased flexibility and availability of equipment that could otherwise only be arranged by having multiple dedicated aircraft.
