Wood has been selected by PureCycle Technologies (Thailand) Company Limited (PureCycle), a subsidiary of PureCycle Technologies, to deliver the front-end engineering and design (FEED) for a new polypropylene dissolution recycling facility in Rayong, Thailand.

The facility forms part of PureCycle's international growth programme and will be developed in collaboration with IRPC Public Company Limited (IRPC) at its eco‑industrial site in Rayong. The project includes a polypropylene recycling line with capacity of up to 130‑million‑pounds per year of recycled polypropylene (rPP) output and supports Thailand’s objectives for more circular materials management.

Under the contract, Wood will deliver the Outside Battery Limits (OBL) FEED, building on early work already completed for PureCycle. This phase focuses on integrating the new polypropylene recycling facility into IRPC’s existing petrochemical complex, ensuring alignment of utilities, logistics and site infrastructure from early design.

The award extends a two‑year relationship between Wood and PureCycle, following delivery of multiple assignments in the United States Subject to further approvals, Wood is expected to progress the project into its engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) phase later in 2026.

John Mtanios, Regional President of APAC at Wood, said: “We are pleased to be continuing our work with PureCycle on this important project for the region. The Rayong facility demonstrates how innovative recycling technologies can be integrated into existing industrial infrastructure to support circular economic objectives at scale.

“Wood’s team brings experience in supporting new recycling technology projects, together with an established presence in Thailand, to support the safe and efficient development of this facility.”

Wood brings an established on-the-ground presence to this partnership, with teams in both the United States and Thailand. Most recently, Wood worked with IRPC on the Ultra Clean Fuel Project in Rayong, providing project management services for a diesel hydro-treating unit and hydrogen manufacturing unit.

Construction of the facility is expected to begin in the second half of 2026, with mechanical completion targeted for the end 2027 and operations ramping up in 2028.
