Wood earns silver accreditation in Canada’s Indigenous relations certification program

Wood has achieved silver level certification from the Canadian Council for Indigenous Business (CCIB) through the Partnership Accreditation in Indigenous Relations (PAIR) program, recognising the company’s commitment to advancing reconciliation and strengthening Indigenous relations.

The PAIR program is a nationally recognised, independently verified, three-year certification program that measures corporate performance in Indigenous relations. The framework evaluates organisations across four key areas: Indigenous employment and career development, Indigenous business development and procurement, community relationships and leadership commitment to advancing Indigenous relations.

Since 2023, Wood has increased Indigenous representation across its workforce, directed more than CAD $61 million in procurement spend to Indigenous businesses and achieved over 90% employee participation in Indigenous cultural awareness and education programs.

Wood renewed its three-year, $100,000 commitment to the Indspire bursary helping to reduce financial barriers and encourage Indigenous students to pursue careers in engineering and related fields. Several bursary recipients have joined Wood through its summer student program, creating meaningful pathways from education to employment.
